One of the best months to visit. Weekdays: 5-30 min average wait. Weekends: 10-40 min. Day to avoid: 25 April (Liberation Day). Also watch out for the Easter long weekend and Easter Monday, the busiest day of the Easter period.

Busier than April but still moderate: great for avoiding summer and the end of the school year. Weekdays: 10-45 min. Weekends: 10-50 min. Day to avoid: 1 May (Labour Day).

The first summer month, when crowds start to build up. Levels stay similar to May until schools break up. Weekdays: 10-55 min. Weekends: 10-65 min. Day to avoid: 2 June (Republic Day).

Busy but manageable crowds. Weekdays: 5-60 min. Weekends: 10-70 min. No day to avoid: from late June, Gardaland Night is Magic is on, with the park open in the evening and very short waits (5-30 min from 6pm to 11pm).

The heart of summer: busy but still manageable. Weekdays: 5-60 min. Weekends: 10-70 min. Day to avoid: 15 August (Ferragosto / Assumption Day). Night is Magic is also on in August, with evening waits of just 5-30 min.

A month of two halves: in the first few days (before school starts) waits run 10 to 75 min; after the school year begins, they drop to 5-45 min on weekdays. From 14 to 29 September it's Gardaland Oktoberfest, with the park open until 9pm on Saturdays. If possible, it's best to visit after school starts.

The park transforms for Gardaland Magic Halloween and is only open on weekends, which concentrates the crowds: average waits between 10 and 75 min. No particular day to avoid, but 31 October brings the Halloween Party, with the park open until midnight and a DJ set in Piazza Ramses.

The park dresses up for Gardaland Magic Winter. If you don't mind the cold and won't miss the water rides, it's a great time to visit: waits generally between 5 and 40 min. Days to avoid: 26, 30 and 31 December, when crowds are heavier.
